Shootout with Chuck Arlund in Nashville, TN

I just got back from an amazing week in Nashville, TN where I took part in the Digital Wedding Forum Convention. I feel completely recharged after learning from some of the most influential photographers in the world and spending time with friends old and new. One of my favorite parts of the convention was participating in a shootout with Chuck Arlund. Below are a few images from that shootout. I can hardly wait for next year!

This is my dear friend and fellow photographer, Evgenia Eliseeva. We met at Jerry Ghionis‘ workshop in Paris last year (where I took this photo), became instant friends and had all sorts of crazy adventures in Paris. She’s a remarkably talented person and I feel honored to be her friend.

Carrie was one of my very first subjects as a professional photographer. I haven’t looked through the images from that shoot for a couple of years and it was kind of cool to go back and see that my style of shooting really hasn’t changed much since then. My technique and my skills have improved by leaps and bounds, but the images still feel the same. And I’m really proud of that.

My goal is to post something on this site every day. I’ve got a bunch of weddings in the pipeline that I’ll post soon, but I really want to give you something new to look at every day. So, this is Yolanda. I and a few other photographers had the opportunity to shoot Yolanda in Tampa, FL when we were there last year for the PPA and DWF photography conventions. Isn’t she gorgeous?

On Saturday, I headed to the upper west side for a fun shoot with beautiful little Ava.

Isn’t she adorable?

It was such a beautiful day, that we decided to head out to Riverside Park to enjoy the weather. I think Ava was more interested in her mom’s sunglasses than anything else. Who knew shades were so delicious?

Mom and dad were prepared and brought along some bubbles. Ava LOVED the bubbles (I did too)!

Mom, Dad and Ava had fun playing in the shade of a large tree. It was a beautiful way to spend a morning.
